Road safety management

Getting Started

Road safety management is a shared responsibility of contractors, haulers and drivers;

  • Road safety is on the list of duties of contractors' and haulers' supervisors;
  • Drivers follow a training program on safe driving behaviour;
  • Safe driving is monitored through technical instruments where possible;
  • Unsafe behaviour is detected and given a personal follow-up.

Accidents are studied; identified causes of accidents may lead to adjustment of the priority areas of action.
